A unique component of the program is parent involvement. Parents are considered the most important part of the child’s educational team and their opinions and knowledge of their child are valued by the Center’s staff. Parents are trained by Lovaas consultants to work alongside the child’s therapists and to implement programs in the home.

In 2006, parents of students at the Levy Center formed a parent group to offer support to one another, as well as to the school. The ALLC Parent Group has sponsored fieldtrips, fundraisers and other activities.
